As our activities are expanding, we are looking for an experienced, process driven financial expert that can support our finance manager and his team. If you demonstrate exceptional technical skills and have worked in the insurance sector before we would like to meet you!

Taken/Responsibilities

• Supporting the monthly and quarterly management accounts and annual statutory/regulatory financial statements and filings
• Assist with the annual and interim external audit process
• Maintaining the control environment for the financial records of the company, including continuous assessment of its effectiveness as the business grows and evolves
• Work together with different key function holders to understand and document data
• Pro-actively recommending improvements to processes and procedures and involvement in implementation
• Create, improve, and automate reporting methods
• Assisting with driving to completion ad hoc projects, in particular Brexit reporting and processes
• Assist with Tax filing preparation and liaison with tax specialists (CIT, VAT, IPT, Wage tax)

Kwalificaties/Qualifications & skills

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accountancy, Finance or Business Economics
• Any accounting qualification is highly preferred
• 3-4 years’ experience in an insurance environment
• Detailed understanding of financial reporting
• Affinity with actuarial and financial data
• Experience in automation, optimization and scheduling reports and adept queries
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse significant amounts of data
• Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL etc)
• Strong MS Office skills, mainly Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Solutions oriented, flexible, structured, self-starter with a hands-on mentality
